Welcome to Club Kaboom Volleyball!
Club Kaboom Volleyball, Inc. is a small organization created to provide affordable training to prepare athletes for participation in USA Volleyball, AAU and JVA juniors' competitions and the pursuit of collegiate volleyball careers.  

Founded in 2005, Club Kaboom was started by and is currently owned and operated by Shafonia Sumrall Howard.  Shafonia has played for over 38 years and coached for 30 years as well.  

Shafonia believes in motivating athletes to always try their very best and to strive for their absolute goals.  Having had many different obstacles to overcome in her childhood and adolescent years, she feels that it is important for kids to learn to persevere and have dedication. At Club Kaboom, the hope is that a child can learn more than just great volleyball skills from us.  We hope that each child might also learn unforgettable life lessons along the way that will help them be better young women.  

Shafonia takes great pride in helping girls find collegiate opportunities and will go to great lengths to make sure the girls are able to explore such opportunities, even to the point of driving or flying an athlete to a tryout if necessary.

Shafonia does not believe that club ball should be about how much money one can make...instead, it should truly be about helping the girls. It takes a village to raise a child these days and we take great pride in being an important, positive part of the village. We look to instill consistent discipline and high expectations for all of our coaches, parents and athletes.  Club Kaboom does have and enforces many additional rules and guidelines that most other clubs do not, so it is not a place for constant rule breakers or those that do not believe rules should apply to them or their child.     

Club Kaboom is the club for you if you are willing to give 110% each and every time you walk into the gym for practice and are willing to play your heart out each and every time you step on the court for a game!  It is not for those who lack dedication, determination or hustle because it is expected at all times without excuses.
